Mumbai: Nawab Malik has received a jolt from the Bombay High Court. The Bombay High Court has dismissed the interim petition of NCP leader Nawab Malik. In it, Nawab Malik had said that he was illegally detained by the Enforcement Directorate, it should be released immediately. Now the High Court has refused to do so. 

Earlier, the court had sent Malik to judicial custody and said that on the basis of the statements of the witnesses, the criminal Nawab Malik appears to be prima facie involved in the money laundering case. It is also worth noting that the offender has challenged his arrest as well as earlier remand orders in the Bombay High Court, the court said. The court said, "In view of the grounds of the remand report, it is necessary to send the offender to judicial custody for 14 days.

Fadnavis had handed over a pen drive containing a video recording to deputy speaker Narhari Jirwal. It explains how a conspiracy is being hatched by the police and government men to frame him and other BJP leaders. "In the video, public prosecutor Praveen Chavan has claimed that high-level meetings were held from the CM to the state DGP to implicate BJP leader Girish Mahajan under MCOCA and arrest him.''
