For this, the oilseed sub-mission is starting from the Rabi season itself.

Kits of improved varieties of seeds are being distributed free of cost to farmers. Oilseed hub will be built, in which improved seeds will be produced. Central Agriculture Commissioner Dr. Suresh Malhotra informed that a strategy has been prepared to meet the challenge of maintaining the production of pulses and coarse grains along with oilseeds. A large part of the total cultivable land of the country is one-cropped.
