Hyderabad: On February 20, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) will meet with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai. The development comes after Thackeray backed KCR's appeal for non-BJP chief ministers to band together to combat Prime Minister Narendra Modi's anti-federal policies. In an official statement, the Telangana Chief Minister's Office stated, "On the invitation of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will meet with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai on February 20. The Maharashtra Chief Minister has pledged his entire support for CM KCR's battle for federal justice." Chandrashekar Rao recently attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying that it should be "expelled" from the country or the country would be "ruined." He called for a coalition of political parties to "oust" the BJP from power. "What if this type of hostility in Karnataka spreads throughout the country? Politics of hatred should be avoided. All of the country's political groups should band together to defeat the BJP "he said. KCR has also stated that he will play a key role in bringing together anti-BJP political groups.
