Chardham Yatra: Kedarnath doors to be closed on Nov 6 and Badrinath's to be on 20th

New Delhi: The closets of Kedarnath Dham, one of the four Dhams, will be closed on November 6. On November 20, the doors of Badrinath Dham will also be closed. Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board has informed in this regard on Friday. While the administration had stopped the Chardham yatra due to heavy rains, the Chardham Yatra has been resumed once the weather opens.

Chardham Yatra has picked up pace as the weather returned to normal. Kedarnath Dham Yatra has also started from Wednesday. After two days of clear weather, Heli service to Kedarnath Dham has been started. Helicopters of seven Heli companies were seen flying from Guptakashi, Sirsi and Fata helipads since last Wednesday. Devotees who booked Heli tickets on October 18 and 19. First, they were sent to Kedarnath. So far, 14,000 pilgrims have reached Kedarnath by helicopter.

After heavy rains, the weather in Uttarakhand was pleasant, so the Chardham yatra has started back. The pilgrimage to Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri has been resumed by the state government as the weather opens in the state. The MET department had warned of heavy rain in the state from October 17 to 19. The Chardham yatra was temporarily stopped on October 18 in view of the safety of pilgrims following the warning. On Wednesday, 4,475 devotees visited Kedarnath Dham, 1,433 in Gangotri Dham and 2,444 at Yamunotri Dham. Thus a total of 8,352 devotees visited Chardham.
