Ramlal Lahre, a Chhattisgarh farmer and gold medalist in biotechnology, is making a special effort to make diabetes medicine from Chhattisgarhi chili 'Jaiya'. Whereas Ramal Lahre, a farmer from Surguja, has received National Award for his research on 'Jaiyya'. Ramlal hails from Mahuli, a small village in the Vadrafnagar development block of Balrampur district, while he is a post-graduate in biotechnology.
