New Delhi: The Modi government of the country has given another strong blow to China. The government has issued new guidelines for implementing the Rules of Origin under the Import Act to encourage self-reliant India and Make in India scheme. With this step of Modi government, China will no longer be able to send goods to India through countries like Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand. The new guidelines of the Government-issued Rules of Origin will be effective for all those countries which are linked to the Free Trade Agreement or the preferential trade agreement. Let us tell you that India has FTA with ASEAN countries. On the other hand, along with China, many countries have FTA in 10 ASEAN countries. These countries include Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. China was being sent to India from countries like Indonesia and Thailand by adding value to the product of China. China used to take its electronics items to India via countries like Vietnam and Indonesia. Fees were also less than this and goods were cheaper and were sold easily in India. But now the Modi government at the center is going to rein in these tricks of China. That is why the Government of India has taken such a step.
