New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday urged district officials to develop an action plan to put government programmes into action on the ground. On the occasion of Civil Services Day, Prime Minister Modi invited country's civil officials to choose one of the government's initiatives and devise a strategy to implement it in the districts where they are posted. On Civil Services Day, PM Modi also presented awards for excellence in public administration for the year 2021. The Prime Minister, speaking at the event, stated, "Can the prize winners tell their stories in civil service training institutes? This will not only inspire others, but it will also provide them with practical experience." "Any of the government initiatives should be chosen by the recipients today, and a strategy should be drafted to implement it in their districts," he said. The Prime Minister emphasised that everyone has the ability to learn from one another. Prime Minister stated, "We can always benefit from each other's experiences. When you try to learn from others on a proactive basis, you will constantly find something new to include into your life." "As India celebrates 75 years of independence, seek advice from former officers who served in the district where you are currently posted. You will not only be honouring their contributions, but you will also be able to draw inspiration from them "he stated.
