Sardar Patel is a symbol of India's unity and integrity: CM Yogi

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday paid tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his death anniversary. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Sardar Patel has done a great job of creating Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. He is a symbol of India's unity and integrity.

Tributes were paid to 'Iron Man' Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the symbol of the nation's integrity and unity, a strong voice of the underprivileged and weak, on his death anniversary. He had done a great job of creating 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' by weaving dozens of princely states into a single thread of national sentiment. CM Yogi paid floral tributes to the statue of Sardar Patel. Several colleagues from the Uttar Pradesh cabinet were present with him on the occasion.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also tweeted a video remembering Sardar Patel. Sharing the video, Amit Shah wrote, "Sardar Patel was not just a man of imagination, but a hard worker who worked hard to make the imagination work on the ground. It was because of his strong will power like the Himalayas and his leadership ability that the country considered him a Sardar. Sardar Patel was born on October 31, 1875, in Kheda district of Gujarat. He died on December 15, 1950 in Mumbai due to a heart attack.
