Shooting won't be included in Commonwealth Games

New Delhi: It has now been decided that the shooting will not be able to participate in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Louis Martin, head of the Commonwealth Games Federation, has made it clear. He said shooting will not be part of the 2022 Birmingham Games. India had threatened to boycott the Commonwealth Games for not including shooting. This will be the first time since 1974 that shooting will not be held in the Commonwealth Games, but the CGF president said that shooting was never an essential part of the games.

A sport must have the right to be part of these games, Martin told Britain's Daily Telegraph. "The shooting has never been an essential sport. We have to work on it, but shooting will not be a part of sports. We have no space left. "Shooting has always been India's strong side in the Commonwealth Games. India had threatened to boycott the 2022 Games in protest against the move.

Due to this Hima Das will suffer problems in the Olympics.

Indian Olympic Association President Narinder Batra has sought approval from Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju in this regard. Birmingham reportedly offered to host two shooting events, but the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) rejected it. The ISSF wants shooting to be fully included in the Games. Earlier, CGF manager Tom Diggun had expressed disappointment over India's threat of boycott and said he wanted India to join the Games.
