Preparation in full swing for vaccination in India

No vaccine against the coronavirus has yet been developed, but the government has started extensive preparations for vaccination. The various aspects of which have been discussed. It has been decided that covid is going to be vaccinated in health centers as well as Anganwadi centers, schools, Panchayat buildings and other similar premises. The Central Health Department is monitoring the entire campaign through its digital platform. A QR Code will also be issued for the beneficiaries.

After a detailed consultation by the expert group on covid epidemic, a roadmap for vaccination campaign is going to be prepared. It has been learned that the state governments should identify buildings that are to be used as booths for vaccination under the special covid vaccination campaign. The campaign will run parallel to the current Global Immunization Campaign (UIP).

According to the information received, the existing digital platform of the Ministry of Health, EVIN (Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network) has been modified according to the needs of the corona vaccination campaign. It will monitor the distribution and supply of vaccines. Beneficiaries will be given time and booth information to vaccinate via SMS. Full information will also be kept of them by issuing QR codes, so that they can be contacted if needed.
