A planned conspiracy? Congress leader Nirupam on murder of saint in Maharashtra

Mumbai: The case of murder of a saint of Lingayat society in Nanded district of Maharashtra is now slowly catching on. Questioning this murder, Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has said that there is a dangerous trend of ruthless killing of saints and ascetics in the country. The way a Lingayat monk has been killed by entering the ashram on Saturday in Nanded, it is necessary to reach the bottom of it. Questioning the murder, he said, 'Are these murders happening under a planned conspiracy?'

On this matter, Sanjay Nirupam tweeted with his official Twitter handle that he wrote, 'There is a dangerous trend of ruthless killing of monk saints in the country. The latest incident is that of Nanded. A Lingayat monk was killed after entering the ashram. It is important to go into the depth of these events. Are these murders happening under a planned conspiracy? On the other hand, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Sambit Patra tweeted on his Twitter handle, expressing grief over the incident, that "the brutal killing of two more sadhus in Nanded, Maharashtra."

Let us tell you that earlier in Palghar, Maharashtra, two sadhus were brutally beaten to death by a mob, which caused a lot of ruckus. In this case, more than 100 people were also arrested by the Maharashtra Police.
