New Delhi: Putting an end to speculation about a change in the post of Congress party leader in the Lok Sabha, top sources have clarified that there is not going to be any change at present. That is, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary will continue to be the leader of the Congress party in the Lok Sabha during the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament. According to an official source in the Congress party, there is less than a week left in the Parliament session. In such a situation, it is not possible to change the party leader in the Lok Sabha. The monsoon session was convened by interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday evening to chalk out a strategy to corner the government. Adhir Ranjan will also attend the "Parliamentary Strategy Group" meeting. In West Bengal, Murshidabad MP Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary was appointed leader of the party by the Congress High Command in the 17th Lok Sabha elected in 2019 in view of his seniority." Before the West Bengal assembly elections, Adhir Ranjan was once again handed over the Bagdaur of the Bengal Congress last year. Since then, there has been speculation on the basis of the formula of "one person one post" that the Congress may change the post of party leader in the Lok Sabha. However, in the last winter session and budget session, Adhir Ranjan remained the leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha. But after the Congress' humiliating defeat in the West Bengal elections, there were renewed speculations of Adhir being removed as congress party leader in the Lok Sabha.
