New Delhi: Political turmoil in the country has increased considerably over the past few years, while former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday alleged that the Central government has weakened the country by making foreign and defence policy a political tactic. He referred to the suggestion that the Chinese army has crossed several places in eastern Ladakh where LAC have been crossed again and at least one incident of dispute has taken place between the two sides. The army has rejected the news.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "The Modi government has weakened our country by making foreign and defence policy a political gimmick. India has never been so insecure. On the other hand, the Army said on Wednesday that the Indian or Chinese side has not made any attempt to capture the areas of eastern Ladakh from where they retreated in February and the two sides are in talks to resolve the rest of the conflict in the area."

At the same time, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday attacked the Centre citing alleged shortage of anti-corona doses in several states and alleged that there are "Jumla, no vaccines". He shared a news and tweeted, "Jumla hai, no vaccine!" The news shared by the Congress leader said that there is a shortage of vaccines in many states, though the Centre has refused. Congress spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill alleged that the BJP government is rubbing salt on the wounds of the people due to shortage of vaccine and hike in fuel prices. He tweeted, "The rate of vaccination has come down by 60 per cent and fuel prices have increased 63 times in this Government. The BJP is leaving no stone unturned to rub salt on the wounds of individuals.
