Odisha train accident: Indian Railways condemns false news in press conference

New Delhi: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has rejected the Congress claim that thousands of people have cancelled their tickets after the tragic train accident in Odisha. IRCTC has responded to the Congress' tweet and said that this claim is false. The number of ticket cancellations has not increased. In fact, there was a terrible train accident in Balasore, Odisha on Friday. There was a collision of 3 trains here. In this accident, 275 people died. While 1100 people were injured. Some reports put the death toll at more than 280. At the same time, the Congress is constantly attacking the Center over this accident.

According to the report, Odisha Congress leader and former Union minister Bhakta Charan Das attacked the Modi government while holding a press conference. The Congress leader had said that such a rail accident has never happened in the past days, hundreds of people have died and more than a thousand people have been injured. This incident has hurt everyone. Not only this, the Congress leader had claimed that thousands of people have canceled their tickets after the accident. They feel that travelling in the train is not safe. The Congress had also shared a video of former Union minister Bhakta Charan Das's press conference on its official Twitter handle.
