Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP)'s senior leader Azam Khan, who is badly embroiled in legal tussles, has now become trapped again by the remarks made against Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo and former CM Mayawati 15 years ago. Actually, Azam Khan may have to give his voice sample in this matter. On Tuesday, the court may give its verdict on the disposal of the objection filed by the defense side on the order to take Azam's voice sample. According to the report, during the public meeting held in Swar Tanda during the 2007 assembly elections, then SP MLA Azam Khan was accused of making controversial remarks against BSP national president Mayawati. At that time this case was registered on the complaint of BSP leader Dheeraj Sheel. Although, the SP government had also tried to withdraw this case, but it could not get success. The matter is still sub judice. Recently, while giving an application on behalf of Azam's lawyers in the court, a demand was made to withdraw the order to take a sample of Azam's voice, on which the hearing has been completed. The decision on this application was to come on Monday (November 21), but it could not come. Probably a decision can come today i.e. on Tuesday. ADGC Amit Saxena has told that the arguments of the prosecution and the defense have been completed on this application. Now the decision of the court is yet to come.
