A total of 17 cases have been registered against Ali Yusuf Ali, who became MLA in 2012 on Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) ticket. Most of these cases are related to violations of the code of conduct. Ali Yusuf Ali contested the elections in 2017 from the Congress but lost. After this, he resigned from Congress. In the last assembly election, he had joined the Samajwadi Party (SP) but did not get a ticket from Chamrauwa, so once again he resigned from SP and joined hands with Congress and contested, but Ali lost this election too.

Ali Yusuf Ali joined BJP after roaming in BSP, Congress, and SP. After joining the BJP, now the exercise of withdrawing the cases registered against him started from the side of the government. This report has been sought from the Special Secretary on 16 points. In this, the opinion of the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police has also been sought along with reasons. After receiving the letter from the government, the administration has now sought a detailed report from the police and prosecution department in this regard.
