Mumbai: Due to the havoc of Corona, GSB Mandal, one of the most famous Ganpati mandals of Mumbai, has decided not to celebrate Ganeshotsav this year. This year Ganesh Chaturthi festival will be on 22 August. In the Hindi month Bhadrapad, the whole world Ganeshotsava is celebrated in a grand way, including Maharashtra, for the next 9 days from the fourth day of Shukla Paksha. A large number of devotees gather during Ganeshotsav, which is prone to infection, which is why the GSB Board has taken such a decision. It is noteworthy that GSB Mandal will now organize Ganeshotsav in the month of February next year. Let us tell you that GSB Mandal is one of the richest mandals of Mumbai to organize Ganeshotsav. According to the Puranas, Ganapati was born on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi. During Ganeshotsav, large statues of Lord Ganesha are installed in different parts of the country. According to the rules, the installed idol of Ganapati Bappa is worshiped for a full nine days. Devotees of Lord Ganesha celebrate this festival with full enthusiasm and zeal.
