Dr. Manoj Sharma, in-charge of Media Hospital Qutub Institution Area, said that due to heavy rains, there was a decrease in the number of tests of coronavirus for a few days. Apart from this, a small number of people came to the hospital to check on the holiday days and festivals like Independence Day, Janmashtami. Desh Deepak, the nodal officer for the corona at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, said that the number of investigations is changing, because people do not come in large numbers on holiday.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had warned on Wednesday that one should not be complacent in this case and people should conduct their own investigation on the symptoms of covid-19. He told that within a week, the number of tests for covid-19 will be doubled every day to 40 thousand per day. According to statistics, the number of investigations in August in Delhi has come down compared to July. The authorities examined more than 2.58 lakh samples for covid-19 in Delhi from August 1 to August 15. While in July the investigation figure was more than 3.13 lakh. Kejriwal said, "We are going to increase the capacity of investigation daily from 20 thousand to 40 thousand within a week. Our strategy on intensive investigation and segregation will continue. Let us tell you that on Tuesday, one thousand 544 new cases of Corona came out. For the first time in more than a month, the figures have increased.
