More than 1000 flights operating in a day with two lakh passengers at the Airports: Ministry of Civil Aviation

Airways including buses and railways have also been affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, life is coming back on track. It has been informed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation that more than one lakh passengers have travelled by domestic flights in a day, with more than one thousand aircraft and more than two lakh passengers at the airport. Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has given information about this. He said that "More than 1000 flights operating in a day and more than two lakh passengers were present at the airport. More than one lakh passengers have travelled by domestic flights in a day in the country".

In the CII-Webinar organized on the self-reliant country a few days ago, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri gave information about the Smart City Mission. He had hoped that by 2030, 40% of the population will be living in our urban centres. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had said, "In view of the increasing population, by 2030 India will have to do urban development and build an urban area of 600 to 800 million square meters".

The minister had said, "5,151 projects costing more than Rs 2 lakh crore will be started in 100 smart cities. Tenders have been withdrawn for a total of 4,700 projects so far. The cost of these projects is about Rs 1,66,000 crore. Due to the lockdown, the work of these projects was stuck under the Smart City Mission, which is now regaining its momentum again".
