New Delhi: The internal infighting within the Congress is gradually getting bigger. Senior Congress leader and lawyer by profession Kapil Sibal has criticized the Uttar Pradesh Congress and attacked Jitin Prasad, the leader of the party. Sibal said that targeting Jitin Prasad is unfortunate.

Congress leader Kapil Sibal said, "Unfortunate that Jitin Prasada is being officially targeted in UP Congress needs to target the BJP with surgical strikes instead wasting its energy by targeting its own". Jitin Prasad is one of the 23 leaders who wrote a letter to Sonia Gandhi. After this letter, in the Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday, the Congress was seen splitting into two factions, where there were fierce slogans against former Union Minister Jitin Prasad at the party office.

Not only this, but a resolution to exclude Prasad was also passed. In the Congress office, on the behalf of the people of Lakhimpur Kheri parliamentary seat, former MP Zafar Ali Naqvi faction raised slogans at the party office against former MP and former Union Minister Jitin Prasad from Dhaurahra parliamentary constituency.
