All religious places including temples, mosques, gurudwaras, churches and monasteries closed due to covid-19 infection in Rajasthan will be open to the general public from 7th September, coming with certain conditions. It will be necessary to follow all protective measures from covid-19, including putting on masks and maintaining physical distance at religious places.

These religious places have to be sanitized from time to time. The concerned district officials and SP will visit large religious places and see the arrangements there and ensure that adequate safety measures are in place and social distancing is followed properly. This major decision was taken during the review meeting on the Corona Transition, chaired by CM Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Gehlot ordered in the meeting that special attention should be taken not to gather crowds in public places including religious places. Health protocol should be followed completely there. The Chief Minister has appealed to the general public that in view of the Corona infection, as far as possible worship, worship, prayers and namaz should be done at home, so that crowds do not gather at the shrines. CM Gehlot said that the district administration at the district level should ensure that there is no crowd of devotees on special days in the big temples and there is complete cradle of social distancing. CM Gehlot said that according to the guidelines issued by the Government of India, carrying of offerings, flowers, other worship materials and ringing of bells will be prohibited.
