Goa: Assembly speaker will not be discharged from hospital for a few days

Panaji: Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly Rajesh Patnekar may have to stay in the hospital for a few days. A doctor from the hospital has given this information. Speaker Rajesh Patnekar was admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Wednesday due to difficulty in breathing and heart disease.

56-year-old BJP leader Patnekar was taken to hospital from his residence in Bicholim village last day. According to officials, Rajesh Patnekar complained of restlessness, after which he was immediately admitted to the cardiac ward of the hospital, where the senior doctor is keeping an eye on his health. Officers further said that Rajesh Patnekar's health is stable. He will be kept under observation for some time. State CM Pramod Sawant and health minister of the state Vishwajit Rane Patnekar also came to the hospital to know about the health.

At this time the whole world is facing corona pandemic. Goa is also not untouched by this crisis. Every day the number of patients is increasing. At present, the figure of corona patients has reached 14 thousand 530 while the death toll has reached 157.  Maharashtra is the most infected state in India. Seven lakh three thousand has reached here, while the death toll has reached beyond 22 thousand. After this, Tamil Nadu is the second most infected state with three lakhs 91 thousand cases of COVID19.
