Employees of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam set precedent in Himachal

Shimla: The employees of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam set an example in honouring Corona Warriors in Himachal Pradesh. Those working in the Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam gave prize money of Rs. 5 thousand to each 1250 sanitation workers of Municipal Corporation Shimla. Employees raised money for this from their salary. This honour amount is given for commendable services during the Covid19 crisis. The CMD of the corporation, Nand Lal Sharma, reported this.

Nand Lal Sharma appreciated the works of Corona Warriors and told that all the employees of SJVN are donating their 1-day salary. 5 thousand rupees are being given to each and every cleaning staff. Its total sum is 62 lakh 50 thousand rupees. He said that these warriors included employees of Municipal Corporation Shimla and sanitation workers working through the Saheb (SEHB) Society.

Apart from this, CMD said that these sweepers are the pillar on which Shimla district still stands, and these employees are always ready to keep the queen of the mountains clean and beautiful. SJVN President and Managing Director Nand Lal Sharma said that SJVN has always been aware of various issues facing society. The society suffers from the widespread effects of the Corona epidemic, and as usual, the SJVN stands in the fight against it.
