Bangalore: Voting for 25 legislative council seats from 20 local bodies (Civic Bodies) in Karnataka is being counted today on Tuesday. The election results will have a direct impact on the equation of parties in the 75-member Upper House, where the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to win a majority. State that the Legislative Council elections were held on December 10. The term of 25 Legislative Council members (MLS) of the state ends on January 5, 2022, so elections needed to be held. These include 14 Congress, 7 BJP and four Janata Dal (Secular) legislative councillors (MLC).
