Mumbai: Mumbai's Alibag Chief Magistrate has allowed police to interrogate 3 people, including Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami, in judicial custody. The demand was made by the police on November 6 after Arnab was sent to judicial custody. Hearing the demand, CJM said that he could interrogate Arnab for three hours a day in Taloja jail. According to media reports, a 10-member team of Raigad police questioned the other two accused in Goswami and Taloja jail on Monday. This was stated by the investigating officer and Inspector Jamil Sheikh of Raigad Crime Branch. He said, three squads questioned Arnab Goswami, Firoz Sheikh and Nitish Sharda. Inspector Jamil said, "It takes a lot of time to interrogate the accused Arnab Goswami in the Taloja jail. It takes about 2 hours to reach the Taloja jail from Alibagh and then we have a 3-hour restriction as per CJM orders. Police custody would have been more correct to inquire. " Earlier, the Bombay High Court had refused to grant interim bail to the founder and principal editor of the Republic Media Network, Arnab Goswami. The High Court had said that a claim was not submitted in the case, which would give the court extraordinary jurisprudence.
