Lucknow: Diwali is going to be celebrated on 14th November this time. Firecrackers have been banned in many states since now. Strict orders have been given in several states to burn firecrackers. In view of the recent smog and air pollution in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has banned fireworks in 13 districts including Lucknow and Varanasi. The level of air pollution in 13 districts along with Lucknow is seen to be very alarming and the ban on firecrackers has been imposed here. The people here will now be able to celebrate Diwali by using digital, laser, etc. As per the information received, fireworks are not going to occur in Muzaffarnagar, Agra, Meerut, Hapur, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Moradabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Baghpat and Bulandshahr besides Lucknow and Varanasi this time on Diwali. It is said that 13 out of 75 districts of the state will have a ban on fireworks and only green crackers can be burnt in other districts of the state. The order of the crackers ban in the state is currently going to continue till 30th November and the decision will be taken after further review of the government functions at the pollution level after 30th November.
