New Delhi: India's total COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 173.42 crores, with over 44.68 lakh doses administered in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry. "As per provisional data until 7 a.m. today, India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 173.42 crores (1,73,42,62,440) with the administration of more than 44.68 lakh doses (44,68,365) vaccine doses," the ministry said in a statement. So far, a total of 39,15,704 precaution doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been delivered to healthcare staff, 54,69,127 doses to frontline workers, and 82,58,894 doses to those over 60 years old, according to the health ministry. "A total of 5,24,34,558 first doses of COVID-19 vaccination and 1,64,08,841 second doses have been delivered to people aged 15 to 18," according to the ministry. Meanwhile, India's COVID-19 figure fell below 30,000, with 27,409 new infections reported in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
