Bengaluru : Chief Minister Basavarj Bommai said on Monday that the Governor has offered a clear picture of the State government's initiatives to manage COVID-19 and floods in the state.
"The Governor has in his address presented a clear picture about the way the State government managed Covid, the floods, and the progress achieved in many sectors amid the challenges," the Chief Minister said in response to Governor Thavar Chand Gehlot's address at the Joint Session of the State Legislature.
Bommai refuted the claim made by Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah that the State administration forced the Governor to lie, saying, "I would offer more clear facts when I react in the House." The reply will be delivered to the Opposition in the House. What is truthful and what is a falsehood will be decided by the people."
"The statement represents his (Zameer's) beliefs and attitude," Bommai said in response to Congress MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan's statement that rape cases would increase if women did not wear hijab. His statement would be condemned by the entire country.
