Cyberspace Global Conference Inauguration to be done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on November 23

Global Conference on Cyber Space (GCSS), will be held for the first time in India, on November 23, which will be inaugurated by The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad stated this today.

Prasad reported, "We are hosting a global conference on cyber space in 2017 in India. This will be inaugurated by Prime Minister of India. We hope to have over 2,000 delegates from 100 countries and there will be about 50 ministerial level delegations. We also expect some heads of states as well.”  

Prasad informed that he is in contact with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Infosys co-founders Nandan Nilekani and N Narayanmurthy and many other global digital companies who will participate in the conference. Prasad informed media that "The theme of this conference in a way reflects the changing architecture of India in the digital space. Digital India is designed to empower ordinary Indians. Digital Inclusion is our big effort. In the theme of this conference, we have included cyber for all as part of our digital inclusion agenda."

The ultimate goal of GCCS 2017 is to acknowledge people with an inclusive cyber space with the focus on policies and frameworks for inclusivity, sustainability, and development.
