Cyclone warning issued for north coastal region of Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh- Amaravati: In light of the cyclone threat to Andhra Pradesh's north coastal region, the state administration issued an advisory on Thursday. On December 3, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that a cyclonic storm would form over the central Bay of Bengal.

The cyclonic storm is expected to move northwestwards, intensify further, and approach the shores of north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha around December 4 morning, according to IMD. From the evening of December 4, it has forecast light to moderate rainfall in numerous places, with heavy rainfall in isolated locations, over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and south coastal Odisha. It said light to moderate rainfall was predicted over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastal Odisha, with severe to very heavy rains in a few areas and extremely high amounts in isolated places.

From the early morning of December 3 to the morning of December 4, gale winds of 65-75 kmph with gusts up to 85 kmph are expected to prevail over central Bay of Bengal, gradually increasing to 90-100 kmph with gusts up to 110 kmph over northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal for the next 24 hours.
