Darbhanga to get big gift ahead of Bihar elections, airport may start

Patna: Darbhanga people can get a flight facility before Bihar elections. Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh arrived on Saturday to inspect darbhanga airport under construction. The Union Minister reviewed the ongoing construction work at Darbhanga Airport and reviewed its progress.

The entire team of officers briefed the Union Minister about the entire layout of the airport. The Union Minister is also reviewing the runway and terminal building at Darbhanga Airport. The central government plans to start the airport around the polls. According to sources, the airport will start flying in the first week of November.  According to the report, the ticket booking process will start from September 30 before the flight service starts. According to darbhanga's information broadcasting department, daily air services will be available from Darbhanga to Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

The Union Minister has reached Darbhanga to inspect these preparations. Senior officials from darbhanga mp Gopalji Thakur were present on the occasion. Construction of Darbhanga Airport is in the final stages. The Airport Authority of India (AAI) is developing Darbhanga Airport. The construction of the interim terminal building of the airport, spread over an area of 1,400 sqm, has been completed. The terminal building with six check-in counters is equipped with all the necessary passenger amenities.
