New Delhi: Australia's ODI-T20 captain Aaron Finch has warned star players who are resting before the west indies and Bangladesh tour. Finch said players who are not playing may not be included in the T20 World Cup squad, as selectors will give a chance only to in-form players. Players like David Warner, Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell, Jhye Richardson, Ken Richardson, Marcus Stoinis, and Daniel Sams have decided not to go on upcoming tours. Australian captain Finch, speaking to the Cricket Australia website, said, 'Yes, it can happen. You should go according to the latest form and the players who are playing well should get a chance. For players who are going on a tour of west indies and Bangladesh, there is a good opportunity to make it to the T20 World Cup squad.' It's hard for the Australian players to play IPL in the second phase of 2021. Pat Cummins has already said that he will not take part in the second phase. There is no news about Maxwell, Warner yet. Finch had recently hinted that some of his team's players wanted to stay out of the Australian tours and play in the second phase of the IPL. Finch believes that participating in the IPL will significantly increase the workload on those players before the T20 World Cup.
