New Delhi: Police in Delhi's Prashant Vihar area said on Tuesday that a 51-year-old man shot himself to death. According to the police, the man was declared dead after being taken to the hospital following the incident. "The accused has been identified as Jaipal Chaudhary, who was 51 years old. The police stated, "We received information about the event yesterday." "The deceased did not want to live any longer and was thus ending his life," they continued, citing a suicide note found in his car outside his home. The deceased's revolver was also recovered by the police. "We have retrieved the deceased's revolver, which was loaded with five live cartridges, which he used to shoot himself." In the hospital itself, one empty revolver shell was taken from the deceased's son. "The revolver found has a national emblem etched on it, and its licence has been checked," police stated. A case has been filed under section 174 of the CrPC, and an investigation has begun.An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
