New Delhi: A 57-year-old man and his 52-year-old wife lost their lives in a dispute at a house in the Saket police station area of south Delhi. The injured husband has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. According to police, the incident was reported by the woman's nephew by calling. Police have sent the body of the woman for postmortem and started investigating the case. According to reports, a PCR call came to Saket police station on Friday evening in which the caller told police that his aunt Sashilata Pandey (52) and her husband Chandrabhushan Pandey (57), who lives in a flat behind PVR, had an argument in which both of them were badly injured. After which the youth immediately called an ambulance and rushed the duo to a hospital where doctors declared the woman was brought dead while her husband is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. When the police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident, blood was strewn on the floor and the body of the deceased was also lying. A team from the Crime Branch of Delhi Police was then called and a blood-stained kitchen knife was found in the drawing-room attached to the bedroom during the investigation. All the related items recovered from the spot were seized and the body was kept in the mortuary of AIIMS for postmortem. Police have registered a case under Section 302 of the IPC against the husband in this regard and further investigation is on.
