Delhi elections: 36 Of 70 AAP Candidates Have Serious Criminal Cases

New Delhi: There are serious criminal cases against 104 candidates who contested the Delhi Assembly elections 2020. These include the maximum 36 candidates of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). In 2015, the total number of candidates with serious criminal cases was 74. The election monitoring organization Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has given this information.

The ADR report also stated that out of a total of 672 candidates, 133 (20%) candidates have mentioned criminal cases against themselves in the affidavit. According to the ADR, "In the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, 114 (17%) out of a total of 673 candidates had criminal cases against them". According to the report, 42 (60%) of the 70 AAP candidates in major parties have criminal cases against them, 26 (39%) of the BJP's 67 candidates and 18 (27%) of the Congress's 66 candidates. Criminal cases are registered.

Giving information, ADR said, "Out of 66 candidates of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), a total of 12 (18%) and three out of five (60%) of NCP have mentioned criminal cases against them in their affidavits. . " If you talk about serious criminal cases, then you are at the top of this list. Of its 70 candidates, 36 have serious criminal cases against them.
