New Delhi: A Delhi court has directed the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) to file a fresh status report in the Aircel-Maxis case against former Union minister and Congress veteran P Chidambaram and his son Karti. The court adjourned it indefinitely on 6 September. Today the hearing, in this case, is scheduled. The court had said that CBI and ED were repeatedly seeking an adjournment. Special Justice OP Saini adjourned the hearing without giving any date and said that whenever the investigation is complete, the prosecution can approach the court. CBI and ED are investigating how his son Karti Chidambaram got the approval of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) for the Aircel-Maxis deal in 2006 when P Chidambaram was Finance Minister.
