Inflammatory speech case: HC issues notice to Center for petition against Sonia and Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: The petition was filed on Monday in the Delhi High Court against the 'provocative speeches' allegedly made by the interim president of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi and others. The High Court has issued notices to Delhi Police, Central and State Government on this petition.

It is noteworthy that a petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court, in which interim president of Congress Sonia Gandhi, former president Rahul Gandhi, party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, AAP leader Manish Sisodia, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi and heirs There was a demand to register an FIR against Pathan and lawyer Mahmood Pracha for making 'hate speech'. The petition filed by Lawyers Voice said that "Special Investigation Team (SIT) should be constituted to investigate these hate speeches and give directions for appropriate action. Guidelines should also be given for filing FIRs against the said people".

Along with this, an appeal was made in the High Court for a NIA inquiry against Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar, social activist Harsh Mander, RJ Syma and AAP MLA Amanatullah. Both have been accused of making inflammatory tweets on the issue of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Citizenship Register (NRC). The High Court has issued notice to the Delhi Police, Government of Delhi in this matter.
