New Delhi: Due to the violence in Delhi, the death toll is constantly increasing. So far 39 people have lost their lives in this violence. At the same time, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MP Naresh Gujral says that it is unfortunate to make only minorities a target in violence. Naresh Gujral has said, 'I do not want to see 1984 happening again. I am proud to be a Delhiwala.
He said that last time they were Sikhs and this time the targets are Muslims. Unfortunately, every time minority community is the victim of attack. Let us tell you that in 1984 anti-Sikh riots took place. Many thousands of people died during that time. Let us tell you that on 24 and 25 February, there was fierce violence in North-East Delhi. Violent mob had caused a lot of uproar and set shops, houses and schools on fire. In this violence, 38 people have died, including Delhi Police Head Constable Ratan Lal.
Delhi Police has registered 48 cases of violence and arrested more than 106 people. Two Special Investigation Teams (SITs) of Delhi Police Crime Branch have been formed to investigate this violence, which will be headed by DCP Joy Tirkey and DCP Rajesh Dev.
