Speaking on the budget for the financial year 2020-21 in the Legislative Council on Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lashed out at the Samajwadi Party and the erstwhile SP government amid the opposition's talk. He attacked the SP government for corruption in jobs and running illegal slaughterhouses, and also taunted the plight of basic education and neglect of Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav's parliamentary constituency Azamgarh.

In his address, referring to the plight of council schools in the SP government, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath questioned how socialist are you? Some will say, some will do. They will teach their child in Australia and the child of the poor will sit on sackcloth. It is said that our government has revamped 1.2 lakh council schools under Operation Rejuvenation.

Then the Leader of Opposition Ahmed Hassan said that the anti-leader party has been an officer of the Police Service. A right officer sat in the wrong party. His image was affected in the wrong company.
