Dhanbad: In a shocking incident, a deputy superintendent of police (DCP) has been arrested for allegedly molesting a minor girl in Dhanbad. In their complaint, the girl's parents claimed that she was intercepted by the accused while on her way to school and molested. According to the Police, the accused, Suresh Paswan, hails from Jagjivan Nagar area in Dhanbad. Based on a complaint by the 12-year-old girl's family, police officials arrested Suresh on Sunday and sent him to jail. The girl alleged that the accused molested her on prior occasions before the incident on Friday. also read: A 32-year-old executive robbed at gunpoint The accused stopped her on way to school and molested her, said investigating officials. They added that Paswan, who is in his 50s, threatened the minor girl of dire consequences if she were to reveal his heinous act to anyone. After returning home, the victim told her parents who subsequently approached city police and filed a complaint against the accused leading to his arrest. In a similar incident from New Delhi, an assistant commissioner of police (ACP) was booked for raping a woman on the pretext of marriage. In her complaint, the victim claimed that Ramesh Dahiya was the station house officer (SHO) of Sadar Bazar police station when he developed a relationship with her and raped her. She had also alleged that the accused raped her daughter and silenced her by threatening to release illicit pictures of her on social media.
