Bhubaneswar: A drunk man hacked his three children to death with an axe in Koeda area of Odisha's Sundargarh district. It is being told that the accused was drunk and had an argument with his wife before the incident. After this, he came to Taish and committed the crime. A police official said a 27-year-old man allegedly killed his three children after an argument with his wife. After committing the incident, the accused also placed the bodies of the three children. He threw the bodies of the children into a well in a village in Odisha's Sundergarh district. The police official said that after coming to know about the incident, the police with the help of fire men on Sunday morning pulled out the bodies of the children from the well and took them for post-mortem. The officer said the accused has been arrested from a forest near Sundergarh. Further action in this regard is in progress. According to the police, the accused had returned to his home in Kula village from a nearby market on Saturday evening under the influence of alcohol. When he reached home drunk, the wife interrupted and he had an argument with his wife. When the wife resisted, the accused angrily picked up the axe and tried to attack the wife, but she somehow managed to save herself and fled. The accused's wife told the police that when she returned home on Sunday morning, she could not find her three children. After much research, he saw that the children's clothes were lying near the well. The accused's wife then reported it to the villagers and then to the police. Inspector Lokeshwar Sahu of Koeda police station said the accused had murdered his six-year-old daughter, two-year-old son and a two-month-old daughter. The bodies of the three children were recovered from the well on Sunday. The inspector said the post-mortem report is currently awaited.
