Chandigarh: The farmers' agitation is causing a cloud of crisis over the Haryana government. JJP, which is supporting the government, has convened a meeting of its MLAs. Party President and State Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala will meet at 2 PM today. Meanwhile, CM Manohar Lal Khattar will meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah at 7 PM today. CM Manohar Lal Khattar had faced a huge protest during the 'Kisan Mahapanchayat' programme organised by the BJP in Karnal in the past. CM Khattar's helipad was dug and ransacked on stage. Due to this, CM Khattar had to cancel his karnal visit. The BJP and the JJP alliance have been disturbed by the growing opposition from the farmers. According to some media reports, CM Manohar Lal Khattar and Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala will speak to Union Home Minister Amit Shah today about the latest situation in the state. Earlier, Dushyant has convened a meeting of JJP MLAs at his farmhouse. On Monday, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda had said that many MLAs of the ruling coalition wanted to resign because of the farmers' agitation. Following the statement, the BJP-JJP alliance has intensified its agitation. The 90-member Haryana Assembly has 40 BJP MLAs and 10 MLAs from JJP. Besides, 7 independent MLAs are also supporting the government.
