Srinagar: Earthquake tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on 9 September Monday. Earthquake intensity on the Richter scale has been measured at 5. No loss of life or property has been reported from these tremors so far. Let us tell you that on Sunday too, tremors of landfall were felt in these areas. The tremors were felt in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir and Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh at around 12.10 am on Monday. When these tremors were felt suddenly, there was a stir in the area. People came out of their houses and came to the open space. Fear was evident on people's faces. People were terrified to go to their homes even after the earthquake ended. It is being told people experienced an earthquake in Lahul-Spiti district including Pangi, Chamba and Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. The intensity of this earthquake that occurred on Sunday was recorded at 4.9 on the Rector Scale. The earthquake struck at 8.04 minutes on Sunday morning and it was over in a matter of seconds.
