Shimla: The Himalayas have tried to establish themselves as Divas for the last 9 years. We had denied the supernatural gift of this sensitive nature in many ways. We did worry about it, but in pieces, there was no other way of collective expression. The security of the Himalayas is not only for the residents here but for every citizen of India as well. Since 2010, the governments of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have been celebrating Himalaya Diwas every year, but even today the problems of Himalayas remain the same.

Floods of disasters, crowds of irrelevant industries and insensitive schemes are becoming a threat to the Himalayas today. The time has come for governments and policymakers to think as well. The unilateral economic development of the Himalayas can cause major destruction. The Himalayas themselves are balanced, therefore favoring balanced development. Its simple, silent behavior should not be taken lightly. The measure is the same, environmental conditions here will have to be discussed every year. Uttarakhand was affected by the tragedy last time, then Jammu and Kashmir suffered, in the coming tomorrow, another state may turn up.

After all, how long will we ignore the root causes of these disasters? The amount of energy and money that we spend after a disaster has occurred and loss of life and property, we can get rid of them in a planned way. But the priority of the government is not of ecology, it is only after the disaster happens. Later everything is put on hold. The Himalayas have to be considered alive otherwise we will be engulfed in mass crisis. Even if the man does not do anything, nature will do its work, because we have no control over it.
