Earthquake Quakes of 3-3.9 magnitude hits THESE States Today

Earthquakes ranging from magnitudes 3.1 to 3.9 shook various states across India today. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported seismic activity in several regions.

Karnataka's Vijayapura district experienced a 3.1 magnitude earthquake at 6:52 am IST. The epicenter was located at a latitude of 16.77 and a longitude of 75.87, with a depth of 10 km.

Shortly after, at 7:39 am IST, Tamil Nadu's Chengalpattu was hit by a 3.2 magnitude quake, also at a depth of 10 km. The coordinates were noted at latitude 12.50 and longitude 79.85.

In Meghalaya, around 8:46 am IST, a 3.8 magnitude quake occurred 18 km southwest of Shillong, with a depth of 14 km. The coordinates were registered at 25.47 latitude and 91.75 longitude.

Later, at 9:00 am IST, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake rattled Rajkot in Gujarat, reaching a depth of 20 km. The location was reported at 133 km north-northwest of Rajkot, with coordinates of 23.45 latitude and 70.42 longitude.

The NCS provided these details in their updates on social media, alerting residents in these areas about the seismic activities and their respective magnitudes, depths, and locations.
