New Delhi: Major action has been taken against violators of the code of conduct led by District Election Officer of Kanpur Dehat Jitendra Pratap Singh on the strict directions of the Election Commission (EC) in the 2022 assembly elections this time. The action comes after a police report against 16 officials of various political parties violating the code of conduct. Action has been taken against Vivesh Yadav from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Rania area of Akbarpur assembly in Kanpur death, former block chief Vivek Dwivedi, Anshu Tripathi, who is contesting from BJP, in Akbarpur Kotwali. Meanwhile, a report has been filed against four unidentified persons including Narendra Singh, District Collector Devraj Singh, Gaurav, Abhay Pratap, Binnu Singh, Shiv Veer Singh and four unidentified persons from the Akbarpur seat of Jansatta Dal Democratic Party at Shivli police station. The Secunderabad police have registered a report on Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate Vinod Pal for violating the code of conduct. Two days ago, a report was filed against two persons including Rajendra Singh alias Raju, brother of MP Devendra Singh Bhole from Akbarpur parliamentary seat, for violating the code of conduct through wall painting at Sikandra police station itself.
