Hyderabad: On June 10, elections will be held in 15 states for 57 Rajya Sabha seats, including two in Telangana. While the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is expected to win both seats, the Akali Dal is expected to lose its Upper House seat, and the BJP's tally will remain below 100 despite recently passing that mark. Union ministers Piyush Goyal and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Congress leaders Ambika Soni, Jairam Ramesh, and Kapil Sibal, and BSP's Satish Chandra Misra are among those who will step down between June 21 and August 1. The BJP is expected to lose seats in Andhra Pradesh, where three members are leaving, Jharkhand, and Rajasthan, but hopes to make up for it in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
