Lucknow: The BJP has decided to field 40 star campaigners for the Champawat by-election to be held in Uttarakhand. UP Chief Minister Yagi Adityanath will once again come to Uttarakhand and campaign for CM Pushkar Singh Dhami. The list of star campaigners has been released by the party. State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chouhan has informed that the names of 40 senior leaders from the Center and the state have been included in the list of star campaigners.
All these star campaigners will go to Uttarakhand to campaign in support of BJP candidate Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Manveer Chauhan has said that soon the programs of star campaigners will be fixed by the party organization. In this list of star campaigners, Smriti Irani, party in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam, co-in-charge Rekha Verma, state president Madan Kaushik, former chief ministers as well as government ministers and MPs have been included.
Let us inform that CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has submitted his nomination on 09 May. Whereas, Congress candidate Nirmala Gahatodi has submitted her nomination for Champawat by-election on Wednesday. Both the candidates are claiming their victory. Let us tell you that the voting for the Champawat by-election will be held on May 31, while the counting of votes will take place on June 3.
