Rafiq cleaned his bicycle with country's flag, as soon as video went viral, police took this big action

Dehradun: A video is fast going viral in Uttarakhand's Haldwani in which a bicycle store owner is seen cleaning the bicycle from the national flag, the same video went viral. In many statistics, the locals reached Kotwali and complained to the police. On coming to the notice of the case, the police registered a complaint against the shopkeeper and arrested him.

The name of the culprit is said to be Rafiq. Rafiq, a resident of Line No. 16 of Banabhulpura, has a shop named 'Rafiq Cycle Works' in the market present at Mangalpadav. In the viral video, Rafiq is seen cleaning his bicycle with tricolour. In the video, it is clearly seen that this person first cleans the bicycle and then the tricolour falls from his hand. People called it shaming on social media.

 

Soon the video spread everywhere. When Kanishka Dhingra, a resident of Vishnupuri Gali No. 10 Rampur Road, saw the video, he reached Kotwali along with the activists and created a ruckus demanding action against the culprit. In the investigation of the police, it was revealed that the case of insult to the tricolor was correct. Subsequently, Kotwal Harendra Chaudhary arrested the culprit on the basis of the video and lodged a complaint against him. On the charge of insulting the tricolour, the police have charged Rafiq under Section 2 of the Prevention of National Honour Act.
