Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh): The Air Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Centre (MRO) will be established soon at Orvakal Airport. The Union Civil Aviation Ministry will issue necessary permission to start commercial services from Kurnool airport after the completion of the Investigation of Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in the first week of December. Proposals for setting up of MRO centres will be implemented after commercial activities start from here. Additionally, APADCL hopes that the establishment of an MRO centre will enable the full utility of the infrastructure. Apidcl hopes to set up a centre in the state (MRO). Since Orvakal is a newly established airport, services are not large. And here at the MRO the cost of maintenance is low. And the approval was expected. Appadcl has now to depend on Bangalore and Shamshabad International Airports to operate flights. The number of services at these two airports is increasing lying in the crowd. With this, the deployment is not quickly available and the maintenance charges are also high here. Officials have sought tenders from companies to set up a pilot training centre here. The center will select the airlines running from Kurnool by the end of this month. From here, Trudet and Indigo are interested in operational services in Visakhapatnam, Chennai and Bangalore as part of the Udaan-4 scheme. The center will select one of the two companies by the end of this month. These routes are not operated by other airlines for three years. Additionally, the authority is negotiating with various companies to manage services in places like Delhi and Tirupati. State government aviation advisor APIDCL MD Bharat Reddy said all the necessary work to start commercial operations from here has been completed according to the prescribed standards. "THE DGCA will conduct inspections and issue clearances in the first week of December," he said.
